Why to write Blogs

Many of the people often ask me what are blogs and why people write it and who reads those blogs. There could be more technical definition available; however for me Blogs are simply the place to put down my emotions, my inner feeling on record. I have found so many people with great ideas, however they never put it into records and they just go off.

I was part of one of the discussion on improving the city drainage system in our office coffee area and found that there are so many amazing ideas that people can suggest. However they go off in vain without wider audience knowing about it. They have wonderful ideas and they have equally capable vocabulary to present it, but they are simply reluctant to write it down.

The most common excuse I get is lack of time. They have plenty of time to read what others have written; however don’t have time to present their own ideas to the world. The real reason for not writing is that they are scare of pointing their views on record and that too on a public forum. My suggestion to them is that they can write the blogs; however don’t publish it to the wider audience.

Personally I have found many benefits of writing blogs. The first and the most important benefit of writing blogs is it has improved my ability to explain things clearly. I am still not good at it but believe me, I was worst than this. It has helped me immensely in my professional as well as personal life.

Like all of us, I have various ideas in my mind and they click especially when I am alone. The ideas vanish as quickly as it comes. I developed a habit of noting it down on peace of paper and then transfer it into my PC and may be write some more points on it. If I find it appropriate, I publish the same, else keep it for records, it will not consume much space in my PC.
People often feel that their ideas might not be taken well by other and they might get identified for all wrong reasons. But you never know, just an ordinary idea from you might make you hit overnight. You can never judge the psychology of readers and he may like what seems an ordinary idea to you.
